INVOICES & PAYMENTS
Manage invoices, deposits, and remaining balances.
Create an invoice from a saved quote, set the amount due, and keep the payment history connected. Review outstanding balances and offer online payment when your Square connection is ready.
Keep the invoice total, the amount requested, and the money received clearly separated. See what is still owed without piecing together quotes and payment notes.

- Deposit and balance requests
- Connected Square payments
INVOICE CREATION
Create the invoice from work you have already quoted.
Use a saved quote to create an invoice, review its details, and set the due date. Keep the invoice linked to the customer and original quote so the scope and amount remain easy to find.
- Work with drafts
- Prepare the invoice before opening it for collection.
- Review outstanding balances
- Filter invoices with money owing or overdue dates, and export receivables to CSV.
DEPOSITS & BALANCES
Request the right amount at each stage of the job.
Set a fixed or percentage deposit, request the full balance, or ask for the remainder after a recorded deposit. The customer payment page explains the invoice total, tax, amount paid, and remaining balance.
- Keep requests separate from receipts
- A requested deposit remains an amount owed until a payment is recorded.
- Retain payment history
- Review successful and refunded payments against the same invoice.
PAYMENT RECORDS
Track online payments and payments received elsewhere.
Connect an eligible Square seller account to collect customer payments online. For payments received outside the connected checkout, record the amount and method against the invoice.
- Use your business’s Square account
- Online collection requires a configured payment integration and an active business connection.
- Record outside payments accurately
- Add a cash or other payment record, or record an outside refund, without treating it as a new card transaction.
What do I need for online payments?
Customer checkout uses your connected Square seller account. Online collection becomes available when the payment integration and your business connection are configured and verified.
Does recording a payment charge a card?
No. A manual payment record documents money received elsewhere. A manual refund record likewise does not send money back to a customer.
Is my DetailMetrik subscription a customer payment?
No. Your software subscription is separate from the invoices and payments between your business and your customers.
