PROFIT GUARD
Understand the profit behind each quote.
Profit Guard estimates the profit left after included job costs and checks the quote against your targets. Review margin, profit per labor hour, and discount impact before you share a price.
A quote can have a strong margin and still fall short of your hourly target. Profit Guard makes both visible while you are setting the price.
- Estimated job profit and margin
- Profit per labor hour
- Current and proposed comparisons
COST BREAKDOWN
See what remains after the costs you include.
Profit Guard uses the quote’s labor hours, labor cost, supplies, and entered travel cost to estimate job profit. It also shows that profit as a percentage of the price and as a return per labor hour.
- Review the inputs
- See which costs and assumptions the estimate uses before relying on the result.
- Include the whole crew’s time
- Labor hours represent total worker-hours, so two people working for two hours means four labor hours.
BUSINESS TARGETS
Check the price against your own targets.
Set your minimum profit margin, minimum profit per labor hour, and maximum discount in your business settings. Healthy, Caution, and At Risk guidance shows how the quote compares and which checks need attention.
- Understand the price floor
- Review the minimum price calculated from your configured economic targets.
- Check discounts and add-ons
- See how a discount affects the result and identify add-ons that have not been charged for.
PRICE COMPARISON
Compare an adjustment before applying it.
Try a different base price, discount, labor estimate, or cost assumption. Compare the current quote with the proposed version, then apply the adjustment to the draft when you are ready.
- Review the effect together
- See the change in estimated profit, margin, and hourly return in the same comparison.
- Keep the decision yours
- Guidance is advisory. You can review, apply, or undo an adjustment; Profit Guard does not block sending a quote.
Is this my take-home profit?
No. Profit Guard estimates profit after the job costs included in the quote. It excludes overhead, payment processing fees, and income tax, and does not guarantee a profitable job.
Do tax and a requested deposit increase the estimate?
No. Tax and requested deposits do not increase estimated job profit. A deposit request is also separate from a payment received.
Is Profit Guard included in Core?
Yes. Quote-level Profit Guard is included in Core, along with your quoting and operational tools.
